Supplemental Security
Under the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, a child from
birth to age 18 may receive monthly payments based on disability (or
blindness) if:
he or she has an impairment or combination of impairments that
meets the definition of disability for children;and
the income and resources of the parents and the child are within

Household
Township Trustee
Trustees can assist eligible township residents with food, medical care,
clothing, household goods, shelter, school clothing, utilities, limited
transportation, fuel oil and coal.

Donated clothing, furniture and household appliances and redistributes it
at no charge

Community Centers
Services vary according to site but may include: Food pantry, clothing,
tutoring, before/after school care, summer camp, counseling, case
management, financial assistance.

Utility Assistance
Gas and/or Electric: Community Action offers Energy Assistance for
Winter and Summer utilities.  You may also contact the
Salvation Army.  
Many utility companies also offer their own energy assistance programs.

Phone: AT&T offers "Lifeline" which allows for a discounted rate of phone
service for those who have: federal public housing assistance, Section 8
(including HUD), Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, Low Income Home Energy
Assistance (LIHEAP) and Project Safe.
